We often see clients who are worn down both by their illness, and sometimes by depression. Peter was one such man, he came to us a year after bypass surgery. While often people make strong recoveries from this operation, that was not Peter’s situation. He still felt like he had no energy, and he seemed depressed – as anyone might be in that situation. A high achiever, he felt diminished by his lethargy. We were able to encourage him to talk to his doctor more about his emotional state. This created a record of his condition, and the ensuing evidence about depression made the difference in winning the case.
